Since 2009 members of the AIS and other iris organisations worldwide worked for a online database with pictures. You can find this database under the adress wiki.irises.org.

In relation to the more then 60000 in the AIS registry listed iris are in the meantime already about 70% recorded. Today, the wiki.irises.org includes more then 36000 pictures. However, since even at the more common types now up to 10 and more images have been collected, there only pictures for about 9000 iris insert.

here also includet the more than 3000 pictures I have added.

For the Iris Encyclopedia is used the same programm you possibly know from Wikipedia.

After sign in, you can add pictures and texts and you can bring in your professional knowledge about iris and their breeder. Who wants to do more, has the option to register as a Docent and can then, under the rules, create and insert your own pages .

Your help can be done in different ways:

• You can sign in by wiki.irises.org and insert your pictures yourself

or you can send your pictures

• by email to f.lehmann@irisparadise.com 

• by CD/DVD or USB-Stick to my postadress (look Imprint)

• by email to Betsy Higgins from AIS bhiggins881@bellsouth.net 

and we will insert you pictures. In the Wiki we insert the name from the author of the picture. If you wish I can add a copyright stamp to you pictures.
